Our People

EFG is an initiative by a team of professionals working as honorary volunteers with a strong belief and committment in democracy. Here is a small introduction to the Team EFG !

 

Founder Members
Dr. Satbir Silas
Dr. Silas is a PhD in Organizational Behavior. She is a serving officer with Indian government for last 20 years. A large part of her assignments have centered on education, capacity building and election management. She has also worked as the Provincial Election Officer in Afghanistan during the 2005 Wolisi Jirga and Provincial Council elections with the United Nations. She has contributed articles to national and international journals on elections, and conducted trainings for national staff and orientation programs for election managers from various countries.

Uttam Prakash
Uttam Prakash has a Post Graduate Diploma from Institute of Social Studies, The Netherlands, Masters in Public Policy from National University of Singapore and Masters in Geography from Delhi School of Economics, Delhi University.He is "Harwin Student Leadership" awardee at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. He is a serving officer with Indian Government. His area of interest is democracy and governance.

Sanjay Chadha
Sanjay Chadha has a LLM degree from Delhi University and is a practicing Supreme Court Lawyer in India. He has also represented India in sports. He believes that every vote strengthens democracy thereby good governance.

Ratan Lal
Ratan Lal is a lecturer of History with Delhi University. He is passionate about the idea that good governance can be achieved through quality public participation that influences agenda setting.

Hemang Jani
Hemang Jani has a Masters in Public Policy from National University of Singapore. He is a management cousultant focusing on public sector and social sector. His interests include good governance and public sector reforms. He believes that public participation in democratic processes is a basic requirement for good governance.


Ashish Kumar
Ashish Kumar is a lecturer in Geography with Government of Delhi. He believes that democratic ideals should have roots in early education.

G Venkatesh
G Venkatesh is a serving officer with Indian Government. He has a masters degree in Public Administration and is associate member of ICWAI.Currently he is pursuing PhD from Madras University. He believes in sensitizing the democratic society about the power of one’s voice especially among the educated, informed, rich, and influential.

Yogendra Jha
Yogendra Jha is a social worker.  He works for underprivileged children and in the area of women empowerment has helped form several self help groups in Delhi. He believes that every vote is a tool for social change.

U. G. Sujatha
Sujatha is an MBA by qualification and is a Banking professional  based in New Delhi.She feels that excuses like "poor leadership", "not enough choices", "all political parties are same" are no good reasons. The society that we live in is of our own making and of our shared values. The political space has to be filled and it is our duty to see that the space is occupied by the best. She feels that we shouldn't wait for some magical power to end all our miseries. We are the ones who have the power to bring about any change. It is time we start believing in the power of "one".

Sachin Trivedi
Sachin Trivedi is a management graduate. He is an expert in marketing communications and has benefitted many organisations in this area. He is an ardent traveller and a sports person. He believes that democracy in real sense can only be justified with greater participation.

Sudhanshu Singh
Sudhanshu Singh is a management graduate from IIM, Kolkata and science graduate from St. Stephens College, New Delhi. He is a management consultant focusing on public sector. He believes that not only for legitimacy but also for future of good governance, it is important that citizens from all segments of the society exercise their right to elect representatives.

P.Krishna Raj
P. Krishna Raj is a retired government officer from Education Department, Tamilnadu. He is a certified educationist  based in Chennai.
